16 people were killed and 14 injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a passenger bus on a highway in the Andes of Bolivia on Saturday, according to police.
Traffic officer Nilo Torrico stated, "As of right now, there have been sixteen fatalities and fourteen injuries that have already been transported to the hospital". He also stated that the drivers of the two cars had passed away.
According to Torrico, who spoke to the Unitel channel, the collision occurred on a road that connected the towns of Tambo Quemado in northern Chile with Pata Camaya in Bolivia.
