WhatsApp Introduces the 'Favorites' Function to Sort Conversations

WhatsApp Releases a Filtering 'Favorites' Feature. The goal of WhatsApp's newly released "Favorites" feature is to make it easier for users to locate and manage the chats and groups that they have been contacted the most. With the help of this functionality, users will be able to call their preferred contacts straight from the calls tab. The distribution started today, however WA Beta Info first noticed it in February when it was still in the testing stages on the web and iOS. It was first seen on Android in April.

The calls tab has a "Favorites" area that allows you to quickly call your favorite contacts without having to go through your recent call logs. According to WhatsApp's blog post,

users' "favorites" will remain the same throughout chats and calls, making it simpler to obtain crucial information.

You can: To add contacts or groups to your favorites
  •  Choose the contact to add by selecting the "Favorites" filter from the conversations screen.
  •  Choose your contacts or groups by tapping "Add favorite" from the calls menu.
  • Long-tap a conversation to choose "Add to favorite."
  • Use WhatsApp Settings > Favorites > Add to Favorite to manage your favorites. You can even rearrange them there.
Update your WhatsApp app to the most recent version through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store in order to take advantage of this new feature. Although the update has begun to go out, in the upcoming weeks it will be made available to all users.
